As you may already know, I am Chris Barun and am 22 years of age. My interest in photography started when I bought my first digital camera, which was a Sony DSC-P92. It is a 5 megapixel point and shoot camera which at that time satisfied my needs. As time went by I tried to be more creative but the Sony camera was limited in functionality. Everything is automatic, hence there is no flexibility in setting apertures or even focusing. Another drawback is that it has a fixed lens, and cropping images wasn't a good alternative... I still use it as a backpack camera but professionally, not anymore... In 2005 I bought my first DSLR camera, a Nikon D50 and from then on I've been hooked to photography. As some of you might know, every photographer has his main areas of interest, some like landscape photography, others nature, macro, etc. The main areas I focus on are Fireworks Photography, Night Photography and Sport Photography.

Lately in Malta, a lot of events are being held, like the Powerboats P1 Challenge, Aero GP, Fireworks Festivals, and even the local feasts that every village orgainses every year. Malta is the ideal place for photography all year round. When there are no events organised, one can take the opportunity to visit countryside areas because there is always something interesting to shoot.
